Definitely read the complains here! You'll find out everything you need to know about this company.
My mom and I each bought a pair of "final sale" shoes. I got one size up as they don't have a size 5. The size 6 was way too small. I tried on my mom's 8wide and they fit almost perfectly. She is typically an 8 and couldn't get her foot in.
It is absulutely ridiculous, regardless of final sale or not, that we cannot send them back for a refund when the sizes are literally 3 sizes off. How was I to know to buy 3 sizes bigger than my normal size? So we have unwearable shoes that we cannot return. Furthermore, their response back to their negative reviews on their site are clearly a copy/paste that don't address your issue. They don't answer any other mode of contact.
Like others have said, they spam your email with ads. I was going to keep my mom's size 8, but as others have said, the arch support is futher back making your feet hurt. I understand there is a "break in" period. They recommend 2 weeks. I've been trying to break these in before our Disney/Orlando trip and I just don't know if they will be comfy by then.
Customer service was very professional.
However, I wasn't aware I had ordered a pair of
KIVI that was a discountined color, and the size
is too big (6.5) and was told I was not eligible for
return or exchange. So now I'm just totally out of
$95.00, when wanting to exchange for a more
expensive pair. So this has put a bitter taste in
my mouth. People who buy these shoes are
willing to put their hard earned money into a
product that really is not affordable to people
like myself, to try to eliminate the pain of
standing on you feet all day to make a living. So
it's nit likely that I would recommend this
product, unless money is not an issue.
Terrible customer service. Ordered shoes for my Mom for Christmas, got an email that they were shipped. They never arrived. Emailed customer service and got an automated reply. Finally called during business hours and was informed they never shipped, they’re out of stock, and no more will be made. I was issued a refund, but had no communication from Kuru that the item was unavailable. Kuru just took my money, left my Mom without a Christmas gift, and never communicated anything.
I have been purchasing Kuru's for years. I have now purchased the new Quantum 2.0! They have great customer service. Thank you, Maquel, for addressing all my questions and concerns and helping me with my purchase. Kuru's, please consider supportive shoes for dress wear. How about some black Mary Jane's with good support that will keep me dancing all night. Thank You. Your shoes are the only ones that I wear that do not hurt my feet and keep me supported.
Ordered the Quantum 2.0 shoes as I have chronic plantar fasciitis in both feet. These are advertised as non slip, and are wonderful for 12+ hour shifts. However I am very disappointed because these shoes are absolutely the slipperiest I've ever worn, I fell three times in a night and had to be extra careful even walking on dry floor. They also provide absolutely no relief for my foot pain, and in fact my feet hurt worse in these shoes after 2 hours than they do in a full 16 hour day in vans with insoles. Definitely NOT worth the $250 I paid. 👎🏻
Brae was fantastic. I needed to exchange/return a pair of shoes. I had selected another pair of shoes as an exchange and Brae provided me with all the information I needed to make the best selection. I did not expect all of the details that she provided me with regarding the various shoes. Other online shoe stores I have considered buying shoes from do not provide the details she did. Thank you Brae!
Doing business with KURU is easy; and even more important the customer service given to me when needing to return a pair was so sucessful. I can't wait to continue looking at all the things they offer when I am ready to buy footwear.
The shoes are amazingly comfortable for someone with flat feet but they lack in overall build quality. I got a pair of the roams in white and within the first 3 weeks they were coming apart; the glue was coming off in multiple areas. I emailed kuru photos of the shoes and they promptly sent a replacement so customer service was great on this first issue. Problem is the new pair arrived, I wore them on a business trip that was 4 days long and they started to become unglued when I got back home. The unglued issues were in the exact same spots as the first pair which tells me its a quality control issue. For $130 shoes I expect better than this and frankly disappointed in their build quality. They recommended I take them somewhere to get glued but that will cost over $60 near me so that makes the shoes now cost $190 or more. If you wear a size 12.5 stay away from the Kuru Roam sneakers and look elsewhere for a quality sneaker you can wear regularly without being afraid of the glue coming off. Below are photos of both pairs sneakers.
